Based upon the principles of ancient science of Life, which admits both consciousness and matter, a new Quantum Mechanical theory of evolution of universe and life is propounded. The theory advocates: Right from the time, the evolution of universe takes place, life also starts evolving energies and ethereal - consciousness (subtler and real) in anti-electrons, as the complimentary partners. The material body acquires electrons for cordoning of atomic nuclei and displaying its manifestation, in the three spatial dimensions in scale of time. The ethereal consciousness acquires anti electrons for gaining necessary energy for superimposing itself over any of the manifested bodies of equivalent electronic energy and deriving the bliss of materialization. The theory is based upon the solid foundation of the ancient science (ethereal consciousness) laid down by the ancient seekers of knowledge like Kapila and Caraka who interpret many of the riddles of modern science on the frontiers of various disciplines of knowledge.

Terminalia belerica (behada) fruit has been evaluated as a promising agent against E. histolytica and a variety of bacteria associated with dysentery and diarrhoea. These in vitro studies were extended further for evaluating clinical efficacy among patients of acute and chronic cases of diarrhoea and dysentery. The Studies were carried out on 25 patients by five medical practitioners practicing at different clinics in the urban areas of Pune. The data was collected as per the protocol given to the concerned clinicians. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were critically followed. Record of patients' history, clinical evaluations and investigations like stool, urine examination were carried out where necessary. The maximum treatment period was 14 days and the dose was 150 mg. tablets of bioactive fraction three times a day. 11 out of 12 patients responded to therapy and required around twelve tablets for recovery. Seven patients having the presence of cyst of amoeba, E. coli etc. became negative at the end of treatment. Improvement started on second day. No side effects of any nature were observed.

Bekh-e-Karafs has been reported to be effective in a number of ailments in Unani system of medicine. The aqueous extract of the drug was screened for C.N.S. depressant, anti-convulsant and analgesic activities. The central depressant and analgesic activities of the drug were found to be significant while anti-convulsant activity was found to be insignificant. The results are reported here.

This clinical study reports that the ingestion of 15 gm of Guar gum daily for a period of one moth decreased the total serum cholesterol level by 9.4% and triglyceride level by 4%.

To evaluate antifertility mode of action of extracts of Juniperus communis Linn., its various extracts were investigated for estrogenic, antiestrogenic, progestagenic and antiprogestagenic properties in laboratory animals. Investigations reveal that the extract possessed only antiprogestational activity which accounts for its antifertility effect.

This paper discusses the significance of prakrti pariksa which has a key role to play in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in Ayurvedic System which is embodied by tridosa theory.

The aqueous extract of bark of Ficus religiosa was prepared and investigated for its anti-inflammatory effect and for its protective effect on mast cells against degranulation. A significant anti-inflammatory effect was observed in both acute and chronic models of inflammation. The extract also protected mast cells from degranulation induced by various degranulatiors. The observed anti-inflammatory and mast cell protective effect may be responsible for the beneficial effect of Ficus religiosa in kumkum dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions.
