Sir,

The report on Sadyo Vamana for dental abscess is very interesting. [1] Vijayalakshmi reported that "patient got complete relief from fever and dental abscess after Sadyo Vamana." [1] This report on alternative medicine for management of dental abscess is a valuable addition to clinical practice. Not only Sadyo Vamana, there are also other natural regimens in other parts of the world that are proposed for usefulness in management of dental abscess. [2] However, there are some issues to be discussed. First, this is only a case report. The observation on recovery of patient might be by chance. Second, control against infection for the procedure is very important. It should be noted that if there is no good sanitation, contamination can occur and this will mean superimposed infection not treatment of infection.

Second, infection control process for all procedure to prevent iatrogenic infection is very important.
